Medically Complex Foster Care

Medically complex foster families provide 24-hour personalized care for infants, children and adolescents with significant medical needs.  Medically complex foster families care for children with disabilities from substance exposure, genetic defects, chromosomal disorders, failure to thrive, feeding issues, and respiratory complications.  Foster parents are required to have medical knowledge, education and experience in caring for children with physical disabilities, who are born premature, have birth defects or who are born substance exposed.
